This essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the fresh flowering tops of Lavendula angustifolia.
Characteristics
The oil is colourless to pale yellow, with a sweet floral herbaceous scent, and balsamic-woody undertone-blends well with most oils, especially citrus florals, cedarwood, clove, clary soge, pine, geramium, vetivert, and patchouli.
